The U.S. Appreciated

From IRAQ in U.S. Elections.

Throughout her relatively short history, America has always been the nation to spearhead progress. Indeed, America became the leader of human civilization, surpassing other nations whose histories stretch over millenia.

Finally, I would like to take off my hat for the man who’s leaving the White House: President George Bush, the liberator of Iraq. Invading Iraq was a sound decision in spite of the mistakes that were made. He and Senator McCain, whose surge strategy saved Iraq from slipping down the brink of civil war, will be remembered as heroes by millions of freedom-loving Iraqis.I disagree with Mr. Obama on many issues, but I do trust America and I wish her people and my people all the best.

Despite what the liberals and media tell us, we are doing good things in this world, and we are appreciated.

Limping Again

This morning when I got up the gout was raising its ugly head. Not a lot of swelling this time, but a fair amount of pain in both feet, to go with my hip issue. Ever try limping on both feet? Not pretty. Three weeks ago the Boss and I saw specialist who took blood for testing. She got a card saying hers was normal. Hard to believe that anything is normal concerning a female. I didn't get any notice, so I suppose my blood is not normal. I have a doctor appointment in the morning, hopefully he's got some sort of magic medicine that'll help.

I'm going deer hunting at the end of the week with my brother-in-law. We're both handgun hunters. He carries a .41 Mag and I use either a .357 or .454. He has a bad knee, and I have gout to go with arthritis in one hip. If I see a deer where I'll have to drag it uphill, that'll be lucky for the deer. The only dragging I'm going to do is either down hill or on flat ground at best.

I managed to get the new safe bolted to the floor, and stashed some hardware inside. The paperwork says it'll hold 28 long guns, 14 per side. It certainly has spaces for that many, but not to my satisfaction. I don't want my guns laying against each other like that, so I put about 12 in there, along with all but 4 of my handguns. I left the handguns and 1 shotgun out for easy access just in case. The other long guns left out are of little value. The Boss will be putting her good (read expensive) jewelry in there soon.

Just Wonderful

As normal for this area, there were sales for extremely early shoppers yesterday. As the doors were unlocked at a local WalMart, the crowd stampeded through, and litteraly stomped a person to death.

On the same day at a toy store there was a shootout between 2 rival gangs.

What a super great country we live in. I'll continue to carry a weapon when I leave the house.

Survived Another One

We made it through another family and later friends gathering. This was a rare event because there wasn't a fight. It seems that 90% of the time there's some sort of arguement that's accompanied by somebody grabbing their coat and stomping out early. This time the looney liberals are happy and didn't gloat, and us conservatives kept our opinions to ourselves. No talking about politics, economy or religeon makes for a more enjoyable holiday.

One of the Boss's friends is now the proud owner of a .38 snubby, given to her by her retired deputy sheriff father. It's her first gun, and she's been wanting one for a while for self-protection. He gave it to her on the condition that she get training. I find it strange that the daughter of a LEO doesn't know how to handle a gun.

The Boss has become very concerned about the economy and the newly elected government. She's the one who thinks I don't have enough ammo in the house, and is concerned about break-ins. She insisted that we get a safe, and she's the one who picked it out. The safe is for her jewelry and my more expensive guns. Last winter on a cruise I bought her jewelry in the 5 digits, so that goes in the safe. It'll also contain most of my high valued weapons, like the 2 family passed down Winchesters. Naturally a few guns will be easier to reach, just in case.

Can he Legally be President??

I know this is old news, but it certainly deserves more scrutiny than it appears to have gotten.

"On November 1, Hawaiian Health Department Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino stated that she and the registrar of vital statistics, Alvin Onaka, have personally verified that the health department holds Sen.Obama's original birth certificate."

Although this is true, Fukino never indicated what information is contained on that birth certificate. The reason she can't know what is on it is that she would have to violate the law to do so.

Obama was born in 1961. During this time frame anybody could claim their child was born in Hawaii and within a year of the birth obtain a certificate of Hawaiian Birth.

The website "fightthesmears.com", which purportedly is run by the Obama campaign, did indeed post an electronic version of a "Certificate of Live Birth". However there are several issues.

1. There has been no independent verification by any official that this is a valid Certificate of Live Birth" for Barak Obama.

2. Several computer graphic experts have concluded beyond a reasonable doubt that the Certificate of Live Birth has been altered in a number of ways.

3. . . . . A statement on the purported Certificate of Live Birth specifically says "ANY ALTERATIONS INVALIDATE THIS CERTIFICATE". Yet there IS an alternation that invalidates this certificate and that is the blacking out of the Certificate Number.

By his own admission, Senator Obama, no matter where he was born, held Kenyan citizenship AT the time of his birth. His Kenyan citizenship expired on his 21st birthday. But note that at the very least Senator Obama held duel citizenship with both the United States and Kenya at birth. This would not see to fit the definition of "natural born citizen" as defined in the constitution. As a matter of fact, the founding fathers specifically precluded this by their wording of the article:

No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President;

I know this doesn't matter to the liberal Demorats because they have little respect for the Constitution. They only care about the contract between government and The People when it suits their purpose.

Doesn't Equal Intelligence

Among liberals, “progressives,” and especially academics, there is great joy at the prospect of an administration dominated by people who had very high SAT scores and who possess advanced degrees.

At the same point in time, we are experiencing a serious credit crisis, brought about to a substantial extent by naive and inadequate mathematical models–mostly developed by people with very high SAT scores and very often with advanced degrees.

Having high scores and a degree does not mean you're smart. All it means is that you have a decent memory and can parrot back what you're taught.

And in addition, the liberals are ecstatic about a liberal Democrat in the white house to go along with the liberal controlled congress. Yep, everything is going to come up roses from now on. They conveniently forget that congress has been controlled by liberals for some time now. It's those same liberal congress critters that passed laws encouraging, no requiring lenders to make extreme risky loans to those that couldn't afford them. So those that helped this country, and maybe the world, get into this financial mess are now going to get us out of it? I see a long and rough road ahead.

Having high scores and a degree has nothing to do with intelligence or analytical thinking. All it means is that you have a decent memory and can repeat what you read and hear. I've known several engineers that were decidedly inadequate, and most had advanced degrees with great grades. On the other hand, the absolute best engineer I've ever met didn't have a degree at all. He knew how to think.

Universal Carbine

Tomorrow I'm supposed to get the barrel for my Universal .30 carbine. The piston stop was soft enough that the piston displaced enough metal to interfere with the bolt closing all the way. The solution is to remove some of the old metal and silver solder a piece of hardened tool steel in its place. I tried soldering it in once myself but it only lasted about 40 rounds before popping loose. The good part is that there was no sign of indentation on the replacement part or the piston. This time a professional soldered it in for me. I have some confidence that it'll be OK this time.

I wonder if this carbine is also considered eeevil by the anti-liberty idiots.

Waited Too Long

My eldest was, I say again WAS going to pick up some ammo for me at this place. Apparently there's been such a run on ammo and eeevil rifles that they've closed the walk-in counter. According to one of his friends, the guy who custom built my AR, 7.62X39 ammo used in SKS and AK rifles has dried up. He's going to try and get me half a case of .223 for my AR if he can. I sure hope he can because the Boss said I don't have enough ammo in the house. I'd hate to disappoint her.

The heavy sales of ammo and eeevil rifles must be pushing the Brady Bunch and their cronies into a tither. I wonder if they had any idea that us liberty loving gun nuts felt this strongly. At a time when most are wondering if they'll have a job tomorrow, we're spending like crazy on what was once considered a hobby. Yep, now we consider being prepared a necessity.

Heh, Obama actually has helped the economy, at least a little part of it anyway.

Imagine a wife who thinks 1,100 .308 for the CETME, 300 7.62X39 for the SKS, 150 .223 for the AR, 500 9mm for the Hi-Power, 600 .45ACP for my 4 1911s, and 100 or so each for various other weapons isn't enough ammunition. I guess I married the right woman.

Hitting Close to Home

About 2 years ago when I was unemployed my youngest and wife moved into a newly built home. They purchased the land several years before. As soon as it was paid off, they had a large house built on it. The Boss and I, as well as her father, advised against getting that deep in debt. Just the 2 of them live in about 2500 square feet of new house built on 5 acres. It takes both of their incomes to pay the bills.

Last summer(?) my son lost his job due to his employer being bought out. He got another job, but for less pay. Now his wife has lost her job, and she's in a panic. There's no way they can even make the house payment on just his salary. Instead of saving and working their way up by starting small, they took the big leap into a deep pool.

I know they're not alone, but that knowledge doesn't help. They're in financial trouble now, and I can't help much. I was forced into taking a job for less pay a year and a half ago and my future retirement investments are dropping like everybody else's. I'd have trouble paying my bills if my father-in-law wasn't paying us rent. Without him my house would be on the market. With the housing market as it is, I'd take a beating.

I suppose if they lose their place they can move in here with me and the Boss or with her folks. We have the room.

From 1 to 2 Now 1

About 2 months ago, while I was away on a weekend paintball trip, the Boss adopted a young siberian husky. Ginger is about the most affectionate and friendly dog I've ever been around. The Boss and I like dogs, particularly the northern breeds. The only problem is that we adopted a 3 year old husky about 4 years ago. Amber has never been fond of other dogs to the point of fighting.

The new husky, Ginger, is about 1-1/2 years old and simply wants to play. It's been hard for her to understand to stay away from Amber, so there's been fights every week to week and a half since she's been here. The Boss wanted 2 huskies, and she wanted them to be good buddies. It just wasn't in the cards. Sometimes the Boss is like a liberal in that she just doesn't recognize reality. Maybe it's more like she refuses to let good judgement and reality get in the way of what she wants. In any case the dog fights are now over.

Last night a young lady came to visit with her siberian husky. Within 15 minutes her dog and Ginger were playing and having a good time. She took Ginger home with her. All 3 dogs are bound to be happier now. The house is more peaceful, but the Boss misses Ginger. Actually so do I.

National Ammo Day

Once again we've come upon the unofficial, or not, National Ammo Day. It's fitting that we celebrate our liberty by purchasing ammo near election time. It's especially fitting this year. Before you ask, no I haven't bought any today. I intended to do it last week but some sort of sinus bug kept me at home.

As it turns out the eldest son is on vacation next week and is going to the surplus distributor so he's going to pick up a few rounds for me. For my three battle rifles I have 1100 .308, 500 7.62x39 and 150 .223. The Boss, bless her heart, has told me that's not enough. Being the obediant husband I must attempt to fix the situation.

The son will pick up 500 to 1,000 rounds of .223 if they have brass cased stuff. I'm not going to shoot steel cased ammo through my new AR. Sometime this winter I'll start reloading my own for the AR, but in the mean time, the Boss's wishes must be met.

He'll also get me 1,000 rounds of 7.62x39. It's still cheap enough that I'm not loading them.

Irrational Beliefs and Emotions

Some, liberals, seem to think that conservatives, like me, suffer from anxiety problems. That we feel threatened all the time. And now some conservatives claim that liberalism is a disease.

“Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded,” says Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, “The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness.” “Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave.”

While there might be some kind of underlying mental illness, I've always thought it was rather simple. Anyone that takes liberalism to the point of socialism-Marxism is actually a woman. Women need someone to take care of them. But then again it's most probably stupidity.

Slavery By Any Other Name, Still Stinks

The Obama Administration will call on Americans to serve in order to meet the nation’s challenges. President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.

Her can require all he wants, but if I had kids in school, paid for by my taxes or from my pocket directly, he can go pound sand. If they want to do it then great, but not required. Ever heard of slavery?

Arthritis & Ammo

Last Thursday the Boss and I both saw a doctor specializing in arthritis. The vampire drained blood from both of us for tests and we have follow up visits in about 2 weeks. The Boss has it in her hands and spine, and besides gout I have it in my right hip. As it turns out the hip problem is not muscle strain. We'll see if he can do anything for us. I suspect not much.

The appointments were Thursday morning and I had planned to go to Aim Surplus to pick up about 1,000 rounds of .223 before going to work. Unfortunately I developed such a sinus infection that the rest of the day was spent medicated and sleeping. I don't know when I'll be able to get there for the ammo now, but I need to find a way soon. When the Boss learned that I had 1,000 for the CETME, 500 for the SKS and only 150 for the new AR I was instructed to get more. She said that 1,000 rounds each wasn't enough. She has real apprehension as to what will happen in 2009 with the new president.

BTW Aim Surplus is about an hours drive from here. In case you didn't know they are a wholesale house that will sell to individuals off the street during regular business hours. Locals can buy their products at the same price that dealers pay. It's considered a community service. That's where I get my military ammo and I've purchased several guns from them as well.

Busy Weekend

It's been a busy weekend around this place. Yesterday was Build-a-Bear for a grandaughter, 2 new pair of shoes for me, then the grandaughter's birthday celebration. For the unknowing, Build-a-Bear is a place where the kid picks out a stuffed animal shell, watches it get stuffed, places a heart in it, then picks out it's clothes. Little girls just absolutely love the place.

As for my shoes, I've come to the realization that I'm going to have feet problems from now on. No more bargain brand shoes for these old feet. Went to a small shoe store that specializes in fitting shoes to problem feet. I bought a pair for the office, a pair of authletic shoes and a set of separate insoles that will be used to adjust the fit depending on the degree of swelling. They cost me $350, but walking is less painful now.

Today the youngest and his wife joined the Boss and me on a trip to 2 flea markets and an enjoyable dinner.I spent 3 hours walking and standing on concrete with some sit-down time. Couldn't have done that with my old shoes.

Didn't get a thing done around the house, but who cares. Spending time with the kids and grandkids is what live's all about. To hell with the things that surround me.

Signs Coming Down

We will soon have the most anti-liberty president in history, to go with anti-liberty controlled congress. Despite this setback to our country, we still have Americans that understand what it's like to be American, at least in Ohio. It's taken some time, but we're becoming more American all the time.

SB 184 (eff. 9-9-08) amended the concealed carry laws to no longer prohibit licensees from carrying a concealed weapon in government facilities that are primarily used as shelters, restrooms, parking facilities for motor vehicles, or rest facilities. . . . . With the new amendments, it is no longer permissible to post in such locations any signs that contain a statement which would restrict a valid licensee of a concealed weapon from entering a shelter, restroom, parking or rest facilities.

Obama has repeatedly said that he supports the 2A, but only hours after being declared the president-elect, the Obama transition team website announced an agenda taken straight from the anti-gun lobby--four initiatives designed to ban guns and drive law-abiding firearm manufacturers and dealers out of business. Looks like I'm not the only one who knows he's a liar. all across the country, including here in Ohio, gun and ammunition sales have shot through the roof in the week since Election Day.

Now matter how you slice it, Obama is definitely un-American.

Government Theft

One way of describing taxes is legalized theft. This time they just may be stepping on their own dicks.

Democrats in the U.S. House have been conducting hearings on proposals to confiscate workers personal retirement accounts including 401(k)s and IRAs and convert them to accounts managed by the Social Security Administration.

Testifying for the House Committee on Education and Labor, Ghilarducci proposed that the government eliminate tax breaks for 401(k) and similar retirement accounts, such as IRAs, and confiscate workers retirement plan accounts and convert them to universal Guaranteed Retirement Accounts (GRAs) managed by the Social Security Administration.

And . . . can you believe it actually gets worse.

GRAs would guarantee a fixed 3 percent annual rate of return, although later in her article Ghilarducci explained that participants would not earn a 3% real return in perpetuity.

All workers would have 5 percent of their annual pay deducted from their paychecks and deposited to the GRA. They would still be paying Social Security and Medicare taxes, as would the employers.

With a GRA, workers could bequeath only half of their account balances to their heirs, unlike full balances from existing 401(k) and IRA accounts.

Over the years I've averaged well over 8% on my investments. Naturally not for the last few months, but it'll come back in a year or two if the bastardly socialists will keep their fingers out of the pie. A 3% return is a joke, if it actually wasn't so sad.

That my friends is a discussion about stealing our money. It's conspiracy to commit theft. Now the damn Demorats are immune to prosecution. They have no respect for the constitution nor for the law of the land. They have no respect for We The People. I wonder if they'll gain some respect for We The Armed Population.

Lost The Battle of The Vote

I've been in my work room / armory trying to straighten up a little bit. I turned on the TV and while doing other things caught the last of the movie Flight 93(?). It's a dramatization of the 911 attacks and particularly about the only air craft that didn't hit it's target. It was stopped by a group of REAL AMERICANS.

I wonder how many real Americans we still have in this country. Those volunteering for and serving in the armed forces are certainly REAL AMERICANS. But the recent election has proven that about 50% of the voting public do not qualify. It's not about the economy. It's not about getting bailed out of stupid or lazy decisions. It's not about being a worker bee. It's not about being taken care of. It's about being independant. It's about being individually responsible. A mass of individual responsibility is much stronger than a group of social worker bees.

It's mostly about being at war. We're at war from within and from foreign lands. We're being attacked by those that would destroy our individuality. We're also at war from the cancer called socialism. That cancer is ever working to destroy all it means to be American.

It's been recently reported that gun sales are up about 8% across the country, and it's jumped up to 50% near the election. I'm not saying that only real Americans own guns, but having a choice is really American. Some are buying while they can. Others are getting prepared for a fighting war on our own soil. And that's because, as a nation we've not fought as we should with our vote. The Real America lost the battle at the ballot box.

I wonder. How many of us even recognize that we're fighting these wars?

11/9/08 at the Range

Yesterday the eldest son, my brother-in-law and I spent about 4 hours at the range. Altough we all seemed to enjoy ourselves yesterday, the gout in my foot is making me pay a little. The meds are keeping the swelling and most of the pain down, but I'm starting to feel it in my other foor as well.

Here's a couple of pictures, at the range.
This is from the long range benches where we spent most of our time. The left bank is 75 yards, center is 100 yards and above and behind it is 200 yards. It's hard to see but just to the right of the 100 yard bank is a smaller bank at 150 yards.

This is the brother-in-laws newly acquired used Ruger Mini-14. It has a Tasco Propoint red dot sight. Accuracy seemed typical for a Mini-14, that is it's not a tack driver but adequate for the intended purpose. His intended purpose is to have a semi-automatoc carbine as a family defense gun. Yep, before the socialists make them illegal, and as defense against our own government.

Here you see 3 of the guns my son brought. Top is a heavy barreled Nagant, then a Swiss K31 and his heavy barreled AR. His AR sports a 4-16X scope and a 16" fluted, chryogenic treated barrel. He's still playing around for the perfect hand load. So far he has several that are in the 3/8" group range. Sure wish I could shoot that accurate. He out shoots me with my rifles and his. Bummer! Oh well, I can still best him with a hand gun.

I only brought 3 long guns with me this time. One of my favorites, not in the picture is a slightly modified SMLE No. 4 Mk 1. It has a synthetic stock, 3-9X scope and I worked the trigger a little. With my hand loads I routinely shoot 1" groups. About 8 years ago I took a couple of Russian Boars with it.

Shown below are the other 2 I had with me. On the bag is a Nagant M44 with the bayonet folded. Some say they shoot better with the sticker extended, but I haven't noticed a difference with this one. I replaced the rear sight with an aperture to help out these old eyes. Using the bag as a rest I can regularly hit a 10" plate at 200 yards using old Mil surplus ammo.

Laying on the bench is my AR. One of these days I'll replace the HoloSight with a scope just to see how well it can group shots. I'll surely put a scope on it when I start working up hand loads, though I doubt it'll be a permanent fixture. I'd rather have it as a utility/battle rifle. I have other scoped rifles that work just fine for long range precision like the above mantioned SMLE, Swedish Mauser and a Ruger 7mm Rem Mag.

I regularly use CCI Blazer .22 ammo for rifle and pistol work. Yesterday I was shooting the pistol at 25 yards and had several failure to fires and some that hit 2-3 feet higher that I was aiming. My son was having similar problems with his Ruger .22 rifle. Seems like quality has become an issue for CCI.

Oh, and the brother-in-law has a fairly new H&K Mosquito. That's a .22 pistol close in size and identical function of the H&K defensive guns. The CCI Blazer ammo wouldn't funtion in his gun. Seems it requires higher velocity ammo to work the slide adequately.

Oh & Oh, he also has a S&W 40 caliber that's only seen about 50 roundes through it. The magazine release broke. This gun was supposedly designed for law enforcement. As far as I can tell, the quality coming from S&W has been on the decline for everything except their XD series, and they're made in Chroatia.

Be Prepared

My brother-in-law said he wanted to buy an AR, but bought a used Mini 14 instead. I don't know which version, but I'll find out this weekend at the range. That was his reaction to the election. I bought my AR last summer. My reaction is to stock up on ammo not only for the AR, but also for my SKS and CETME. One needs to be prepared you know.

What a Bunch of Stupid Voters - Self-destruction

Well we've done it to ourselves. A guy named Marx wrote that the average people doesn't have the intelligence to choose their own leader.

Here's what's coming according to this guy.

High Taxes
Gun Control
State ownership of capital
Constitutional reconstructionism through the courts
Nanny government and oppressive regulation
A weak, impotent military
Inept foreign policy
Trial lawyers and liberal judges
Socialism
Internationalist subservience to the United Nations
Socialized medical care
Stronger labor unions
Racism (hiring- and college enrolment quotas)
Class warfare
Voter fraud
Lax immigration controls
Wealth redistributionism
Hostility towards business, and capitalism in general
Over-aggressive environmentalism
Support for failed social programs

I agree totally. Seen it before.

I guess we get what we deserve.

Media Blitz Works

A co-worker today mentioned that he doesn't have a problem with the past and likely future "assault" weapons ban. He claims they're not good for anything but killing people. It appears the left's media blitz works rather well.

Politics Induced Pain - Demorats

The Demorats increased their majorities in the House and Senate, and now control the Whitehouse. There' not much protection left from their liberty robbing and economy killing socialist agenda.

The Witch from Kalifornia said publically that they must govern from the center. Her idea of center is way left of center.

It was painful, but we managed to survive the Demorats controlled congress during the Carter administration. By todays standards they were centrists. Not so today. I wonder how painful this will be.

Fewer Murders

Looks like the murders in Chicago has actually fallen below 500 for the first time in decades. Maybe their strict gun control laws are finally working. Then again maybe not.

But wait, in Florida, the state that started the CCW movement, Miami has gone 35 days without a murder.

So which actually is the more efective method of reducing crime? Lawful citizens carrying guns.

God & Guns

Like most Mondays, last night the Boss had some women in for their weekly bible study. At the end of their session I smelled some pumpkin pie and joined them for a bite. As it turns out they were talking about gun control and gun ownership. Of the five women there, only the Boss lived in a house with any guns around.

Two of the other 4 were considering the purchase of a gun for home defense. Being a gun nut and personal protectionist it didn't take much prodding for me to chime in. Being women who are not really into, nor can afford much shooting I suggetsed a 20Ga shotgun. They were definately not interested, so I once again fell back to the 38 special revolver. To be more specific I suggested a 4" .357 Mag loaded with 38+p. The heavier frame will reduce felt reciol and the +P should do just fine at short range.

One lady didn't understand the 2A beyond what she heard from the anti-gunnies. When I explained that it wasn't about hunting, but about the tools to protect The People from their own government, she appeared enlightened and for some reason relieved.

When I said the unwritten right of self-defense was related she appeared more relieved. When I explained that having a gun was also a duty, in my eyes, to protect my family and that I carry most of the time she was impressed. I think she's seen the light of truth.

Hopefully the near future will find me helping at least one of them pick out a used revolver.

Go Vote

This is probably the most important election since I've been old enough to cast a ballot. The very fabric of this great nation is in the balance. A vote for Obama is a vote for socialism, it's failed everywhere, and other big government BS that'll flush us down the toilet. We'll have socialists running congress without a check on their lunacy as president. A vote for McCain is not exactly conservatism, but it's still a hell of a lot better.

A surprise McCain win is our best hope for the future.

Ah Nuts

My sister, being the nice person she is, sent me a new T-shirt. This is on the front.
She might BE nuts, but I'm certain she doesn't have any nuts. So she must be making a statement about me. Aren't family and friends just wonderful.

Just Say Thanks

While fuel prices were on the rise there were masses that blamed the president. I saw $1.91/gallon yesterday. I haven't heard a word of thanks to the president. After all, if he has anything to do with fuel prices, he deserves the credit both ways.

Gun Sales Climb

The Boss told me this is the first election ever that she's had fear of. Her fear is that Obama will be elected president. In the past it's been vote for her choice and what happens, happens. This year she's actually worried, and to some extent so am I. And it'd not just that increasing government intervention has always made recession and depressions worse.

I've found that a candidates position on gun ownership is a damn good indicator of how that person views our constitution, and how much respect is given to the citizen of this nation. Forget what he says because a politicians first and most important priority is to get elected. Some will say and do most anything to reach that goal. What does the candidates history tell you. Us liberty minded gun owners are concerned indeed. In an economy that's flushing itself down the toilet, gun sales are increasing.

Truth and consequences

Arming Up For President Obama

It could be crime prevention and self-defense, but I'm betting it's because of the great possibility that we'll soon have congress and a president that are anti-liberty Marxists.
