70 Year Liberation Anniversity

Several years ago I too visited that place of horrors.  The Boss wanted to go, but I didn't.  We saw a wall filled with bullet holes, where the lucky ones expired.  We saw tiny rooms where prisoners were locked, so small that they died a slow death standing still.  We saw large rooms filled with hair, false teeth, wooden legs, and even baby shoes.  We saw holes in wooden planks where some expired due to crapping themselves to death.  And yes we also walked through the gas chamber.

We went there as part of a vacation, happy and cheerful.  We left just the opposite.  I for one felt the most extreme anger combined with the most extreme tear filled sadness.  Any one who visits Auschwitz and doesn't leave with extreme emotion is less than human.

I didn't want to go there, but I'm glad I did.
I will never, ever, go there again.

Funny - Sad - True

This was mailed to me.

Medicare Part G
Say you're an older senior citizen and can no longer take care of yourself.  The government says there's no Nursing Home care available for you. So, what do you do?  You opt for Part G.
Our plan gives anyone 65 years or older a gun (Part G) and four bullets. You are allowed to shoot four politicians.  This means, of course, that you'll be sent to prison where you'll receive three meals a day, a roof over your head, central heating & air conditioning, cable TV, library, and all the Health Care you need.  Need new teeth? No problem. Need glasses? That's great. Need a hearing aid, new hip, knees, kidney, lungs, sex change, or heart?  They're all covered.

Small Pistol Primers?

Because of the empty gunpowder shelves I found, checked my supply of primers last night.  In fairly good shape with all but small pistol primers.  I only have about 400 left, but I was planning to load 150 38 specials for my son and then a few hundred 9mm for me.  Guess I'll try using small pistol magnum primers for 1 or both.

I found 1 source of small pistol primers on the 'net, but with the hazardous shipping fee the end price would be $75 for 1,000 primers.  Yuck.  The magnum primers are much more available.

Adding  ....................

I've been strictly using Sierra 158 JHC bullets in the 357 because of accuracy and terminal performance deer hunting.  I also load the same bullet in 38 for my son, because that's what I have.  As it turns out, HS6 that I bought is listed with mag primers in the Sierra book so I don't need to play games with loading it.  Should still chronograph and fire for groups.

Using mag primers for 9mm is another issue entirely.

Do Horses Laugh ?

Went to the stable to clean the stall today.  I usually put her in an empty stall when I clean hers, but it was occupied today, so I hooked her to a rope in the isle.  After the second trip to the pile, she was gone, and both barn doors were open.  I found her standing in her stall looking at me.  Do horses laugh?

Later I put the saddle pad on her and stepped out of the stall.  She was standing in the same place when I returned, but the pad was on the ground.  Again she just looked at me.  I swear that horse was laughing.

Where Did All The Powder Go?

Completely out of H110 and extremely low on AA#9.  I use both for 454 Casull depending on bullet weight and AA#9 for my 357.  Went to the local shop for more powder and found the shelves almost bare.  All they had was Hodgdon and only one type that would be useful for handgun cartridges, HS6.

They had 2 cans, and since HS6 is supposed to be suitable for my use, I bough both.  Now I need to work up loads again.

Got on the 'net to find AA#9 and H110 to no avail.  In fact powders of any type are just not available.  If your local shop happens to have something you use, buy it while you can.

Radical = Islam

I get so sick of hearing about Islam being a religion of peace and how those barbarians are radical and corrupting the religion.  The fact as I know it, is that the peaceful Muslim is following the corrupt religion.

"I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them..." Quran 8:12

And according to the book Unveiling Islam, there are many other passages that are similar.  Paraphrasing another, "If they won't convert kill them".

Why is it that some of the oldest "civilizations" are also the most barbaric?  Could it be that they follow the teachings of Mohammad?  Todays Islam is as barbaric, and maybe more so, than Christians were before and during the crusades.  At least Christian teachings eventually grew up to be peaceful like the teachings of the Bible.

Newbie With a Front Stuffer

A not very close friend called today asking if he could borrow my front stuffer to hunt deer this weekend.  He wanted to hunt yet this afternoon, opening day of muzzle loader season.  It seems he had an issue with his bow after beating off a coyote with it.  When he saw the canine he ran, so naturally the coyote went into attack mode.

He never shot a muzzle loader in his life, so I gave him some instructions, and off he went.  Hope he doesn't shoot the ramrod through his hand.
