A Couple of Things

Tried to go riding with the Boss yesterday.  Notice I said tried?  Turns out my mare was beginning her cycle and was adamant that she would not leave the herd.  After struggling with her for a while, I gave up.  Too bad it was a decent day for riding.

I bought some herbs that's supposed to even out her swings, but the owner where she's boarding isn't good at giving her the daily dose.  It's not that she becomes hateful, she just hates leaving the boys.  I'll be calling the Vet this week about shots that will prevent her from coming in season.  I don't like doing that, but the Boss needs to ride for back therapy, and I don't want her going alone.

........

We have 3 grandsons and 4 others that are also grandchildren by our choice.  Tomorrow the 2 girls will be inducted into the honor society.  Kinda proud of them, especially considering their early childhood.

.........

So on the OSU campus, a good guy with a gun stopped a bad guy with a car and a knife.  Good.  Saves the taxpayers the expense of prosecution and incarceration.

Another Holiday Past

The vertigo has subsided substantially.  Tomorrow will be the last of my antibiotic pills and I've only taken 2 motion sickness pills in the last 2 days.  Tomorrow I'll be cleaning the stalls, and if I feel OK, maybe a short horse ride.  I'd like to go to the range but with deer gun season opening Monday it's bound to be extremely crowded.

Survived another house full of people holiday.  Way too crowded and warm in this little house.

Hope your Thanksgiving was great.  For me it's rarely enjoyable.  Way too crowded in the house for my liking.

Totally Sucked

Ever had a vertigo attack?  Saturday morning it hit me, big time, before I even got out of bed.  It totally sucks!  Never felt like that in all my life.

Rolled over before getting out of bed and the world turned upside down and spun like a top.  Put my hands over my eyes and felt them randomly pointing in various directions, very fast.  I'm not even sure they were synchronized.  With time I learned to move very slow,  and keep my head vertical.

Missed riding my horse this weekend.  If I somehow managed to climb on, probably would have slid right off the other side.

Saw the doctor today, and with a couple of medications it's now mostly gone.

..........................
Update
Been a week now and the vertigo is getting better, but it hits back near the time to take my med.  Hopes it's gone by Friday.  Want to visit the range the holiday weekend and do some riding.

Go Figure

So why is it that the ones that preach tolerance and ending violence are the ones going violent and have no tolerance?

They're acting like spoiled kids.

And then the anti-gunners start talking revolution?  Good luck with that.

Hoping

Eight years ago I was genuinely surprised that the public actually let themselves be duped by Obama.  How could the citizens actually swallow the crap he vomited.  Then 4 years ago I was disgusted that he was actually elected again.  How utterly stupid are the people of this country?  Can't they recognize a corrupt used car salesman when they see one?

So I'm not surprised that Hillary has such a following.  And I won't be surprised, though disappointed, if the ignorant and stupid elect her.  How many examples around the world and historical are required for people to realize that the socialism being sold, and especially run by corrupt politicians, is catastrophic for the populous.  Hell we've been living it for 8 years, and will only get worse with her at the helm.

He was and is not my first choice, but he beats the hell out of the alternative.

Hoping for the best.  Hoping the people of this country are smarter than I suspect.

That Was Enough

Went riding today.  We only spent about 1-1/2 hours on the trail but that was enough.

That was enough for the riders.  Much more and my groin stretch would've been too much. I don't ride enough to keep stretched out.  And the bosses back would be slow to recover, especially considering the work around the house we accomplished this weekend.

I think that was enough for the horses too.  The temperature was around 60 and the 4 legged creatures have their winter fur.  They were quite wet when we got back to the barn.

650 Will Have to do

The summer before Obama was first elected I bought my first and only AR.  I went through several parts catalogues with a friend, and we built a rifle just the way I wanted it.  After the election the Boss urged me to buy a gun safe and to also keep at least 1,000 rounds of ammunition for each of my 3 battle rifles.  Until recently I've managed to comply with her wish.  I took inventory today and discovered that I only have 650 rounds of 7.62x51 (308).  For now that's going to have to suffice.  Too many medical bills this year.  Hope ammo prices don't go up too much after the election.

A Democrat Thing

The other day I saw where several boxes of ballets, previously filled in as all Democrat, were found in and empty building here in Ohio.  Looks as if somebody had planned on rigging the election.  Last time there were a few areas where there were more ballets cast than the population.  Not far from where I live, a poll worker voted 3 times.

Not sure why, but this seems to be exclusively a Democrat thing.
