Once is Enough

One of the other old timers and I were discussing the dark economic era of the Carter times with a younger engineer this afternoon. He is way too young to remember the double digit inflation where a healthy 8-10% pay increase resulted in a net loss of buying power, combined with high taxes. If we get a Dem as president with a Dem congress, we'll certainly get a repeat of the Carter years.

If you don't study a little history, you're doomed to repeat it. I think once was more than enough.
