A Little Cleaning

Earlier this spring I cleaned the Boss's saddle and tack.  Then I cleaned the Australian saddle purchased for the granddaughter, that she no longer uses. The Asussie was used and a little large for her.  I cleaned it because I may end up using it for me to ride the big gelding.  It fits his hard to fit back, but for me it's like a cork in a bottle.  Too tight, but tolerable.  Today I got around to cleaning my saddle, after mowing the grass, just in case I want to try out the Boss's horse.

My mare is improving but I doubt she'll be fit before winter. Her injury was mid January and she's now able to walk, but not well.  I haven't been able to get her to put weight on the injured hip long enough to clean her hooves.  Her hooves have grown so long that they're effecting her recovery.  Got a farrier coming Tuesday.  He'll be able to work the front, but the back is questionable.

Was thinking of going to the range today but decided it's just too hot.  Way too hot for me when pushing 90F.  Guess I'm one of the few that gets less tolerant of heat the older I get.
