What's Next??

I've now seen the same video clip on 3 different TV channels, and I still have the same question running around in my head. It's the clip where Obama is in Detroit and says something about the Gov't saving jobs and the US auto industry.

If I recall, the Gov't loaned money, bought interest and there was still bankruptcy proceedings. Wouldn't the final results be the same if the Gov't would have just left it all alone? If that is true then the only difference is that now Gov't can control, directly, a large manufacturing section of the country.

Maybe that was the original goal all along, direct manufacturing control.

Financial control, manufacturing control, and health care control. Area there any steps left to take complete control of our lives?

Conflict of Interest?

As I understand, a state of the union passes a law that is extremely close to duplicating the federal law. The Fed has refused to enforce such law for decades, so the state will do it themselves.

The Fed files suit against the state, and files a preliminary injunction. The case is reviewed and the injunction ruled my a federal judge.

Aren't federal judges appointed by and report to the federal government? Isn't this a little bit of conflict of interest? What happened to equal under the law?

Bad Hip

My daughter-in-law is a sports trainer, and as such has a little schooling in the human skeleton and muscles. She says she's not an expert but after looking at my hip x-rays made the following comments.

"Bone on bone here and here.
Cartilage gone here.
The ball is not all the way into the socket.
The doctor will probably want an MRI to go with the x-ray.
I'd be really surprised if the doctor doesn't recommend hip replacement surgery."

I'll learn more come Monday morning.

That's Just Wonderful

Yesterday I picked up my hip x-rays and report that I'll be taking with me to the surgeon Monday. I looked at the x-rays and muttered 'yeah so'. I also read the report which didn't mean anything to me either. It was obviously meant for a doctor that knows doctor vocabulary.

There was one sentence that I did understand.

Impression:
There is severe degenerative joint disease involving the right hip, . . .

I did some quick internet research about arthritis and hip surgery. Seems to me that cutting, drilling and chiseling is in my future.

Stay on Track

I hear that Obama gave a speech where he urged congress to stay on track despite the coming break and election. That's a good sign that he still has more government controls and economy killing he wants enacted. It also seems to indicate that he's concerned that after January he'll no longer enjoy the majority in congress.

Let's hope that his fellows in the stupid party are too scared of losing their jobs that nothing else bad gets done.

Who's is Bigger

Remember a few weeks back when N. Korea threatened a nuclear strike if the USA and S. Korea actually had joint training manuvers in the area? Obviously this was intended as a show of strength by the USA and NK.

Ever hear of somebody saying something like 'you 2 guys should just unzip your pants and determine which is bigger'?

Heh. I think ours was determined to be bigger.
