Well, the 30 carbine worked flawlessly for the 20 rounds or so I had available, using 3 different magazines. As expected it hit a bit high at 50 yards. Now I need to acquire dies and bullets to load ammo.
I installed the improved cylinder choke tube and fired the CZ712 Utility like a shotgun, which it is, instead of like a rifle. It patterned at about 2-1/2 - 3 feet with low brass target loads at 25 yards, at the bead. The 9 buck shot pellets patterned about 2 feet. Slugs at 50 yards hit near the bead as well. The next step is a high visibility bead and extended magazine tube.
So far so good for both of those long guns.
Also did some 25 yard bulls eye work with the Browning Buckmark and the Charter 44 Bulldog. There was a time when I was much more accurate with handguns. Those skills erode quickly.
