Safety Between the Ears
I was carrying my 3" Kimber all weekend. Last night a bed time I pulled it out of the holster and discovered the thumb safety was disengaged. I don't know why, or even remember if I engaged it when holstering the first time Saturday morning. Oh well, no harm done. The holster covers the trigger and besides, safety is the user not the mechanical device. It's a good thing too, else Glocks, XDs and Kahrs would be going-off by themselves.

I had a 3.5" Springer with an ambi safety that used to get swiped off while in the holster. Never bothered me, although I do see why some folks prefer to have a non-ambi safety.
