No Joy

This next week I will have been a temporary employee for 1-1/2 years. The company policy is that this is the maximum duration. I've asked about this coming deadline, but so far I've heard nothing definite about future employment. Co-workers are certain that they want to keep me, but I wonder.

My supervisor is acting as if I'll be there indefinitely, or as long as I keep walking in the door. Despite that, I still have an uneasy feeling.
