According to the latest data we have 169,000 active concealed carry licenses in Ohio. With a population estimated at roughly 11,500,000 about 1.5% of the state population can legally (by statute law) carry a concealed handgun. And the number grows daily.
If you watch and read the local news sources, you'd never know that about 3 people in 200 carry a concealed handgun. Just maybe, someday, the anti-gun folks will finally realize that there's no down side to exercising this right.

The anti-gun folks have a much deeper agenda. Preventing the purchase of, and restricting the use, of guns is just the beginning of that. It ends up with them being able to control the populace. There are those who want to be in power, and the rest useful idiots. They'll NEVER come to the conclusion that CCW's are a good thing, because that means the individual is responsible for his own safety, rather than the state. The problem with counting on the state to protect me is that when I have seconds to live, help is minutes away.
I'd really like to see something on the order of 20-25% of the populace legally carrying. More would be better, but there are entirely too many sheeple in our society.
