Subterfuge

There's a remake of the old miniseries "V" coming out soon on the tube, so the cable is now showing the old version. I've managed to watch a couple of episodes the last few days.

For those unfortunate souls that don't watch SciFi let me explain a little. The miniseries "V" is about reptiles from another universe, masquerading as human, that arrive promising peace and tranquility. The people of the world buy into this subterfuge except for a few that make up the resistance. The real purpose is to control the population and strip the Earth of all natural resources.

There seems to be some parallel between the SciFi show and what's happening in this country today. We're being promised all kinds of things that may look good on the surface, but underneath there is the evil intent to control the population for the advantage of the few.

As in the fictional world of SciFi, there are a few that see through the lies.
