I happen to own four 1911 .45acp pistols. For about a year now I've been considering converting one of them to a carbine. Mech Tech makes a kit that converts the lower of either a Glock or a 1911 into a carbine. The price starts at $350 and goes up from there depending on accessories.
What's the word on the street? Heard anything good or bad about them?
