Gun Loving German??

Tonight I took 2 coworkers and a young man from our sister company in Germany to the local indoor range. Let's just call him Joe. Now Joe has never touched a gun, any kind of gun in his life. After some basic instruction by the range officer and later some additional instruction by this author he did quite well. In fact I've seen more experienced shooters with worse markemanship. We started him with .22 revolver and pistol, the Walther .32, HiPower 9mm. 1911 .45acp and finally a Colt Python .357Mag.

He didn't like the recoil from the .357, and felt the 1911 was slightly more than he liked and didn't fit his hand quite right. He really enjoyed the HiPower, and hated to put it down. Can't say I blame him on that one. He kept his targets to bring home. He's proud of them.

He'll be around for another month and showed interest in joining me for some outdoor rifle action.

Chalk up a new shooter, even if he is from another country.

Is it possible to Americanize a German?
