Well, we got electricity once again, and we're back home.
Our house is on 2.8 acres with many mature trees that surprisingly survived the high winds. We have more small limbs scattered about than I care to count, but only one small tree down and 2 large limbs on my roof. The front yard has been cleaned up and the limbs removed from the roof without damage to the roof.
Despite the inconvenience, I rather enjoyed the 2 days off from work. With my eldest on a business trip, the Boss and I stayed with the daughter-in-law and grandson. Two days with my grandson, instead of at work due to lack of electricity. Seems like a good trade to me.
