Lack of Time and Energy

The number of posts, and I believe the quality, has been on the decline for the last several months.  The move to the smaller house has taken it's toll on my energy level.  We're almost finished with the 'big house'.  I believe all that's left is to fix some lose wall panelling and move the trampoline.  Saturday, with help from my youngest, the play house/swing set was moved here to the 'little house'.  We don't have kida for those, but we do have grandchildren.

We took him out to dinner Saturday evening for his birthday.  Then today we drove to the other side of the state to look at some rescued siberian huskies.  A 2 year old male chose the Boss, and he seemed to like our 6 month old Sheba, so we brought him home.  The Sheba will now have a companion.  This evening he didn't want to play with her much, but once he gets adjusted to us, he'll be fine.  He's already bonded with the Boss.

It will be a bit of a pain taking them out and putting them on a cable for a few days.  The fence guys were supposed to start tomorrow, but they won't be here until Tuesday.  We're having a 6 Ft fence installed around the rear perimeter.  Once that's done, we can just open the back door.

More of the same BS

Unless you've been visiting another universe you know that our own government has once again ignored the Constitution.  This time it was the not-so-Supreme Court.

And to make things even more rosie, Holder will not be prosecuted for ignoring congressional orders.  Now that wasn't really all that unexpected, after all the potential prosecutor reports to Holder.

I grew up during the race riots and the Vietnam war.  What's going on now isn't near as bloody, but it's much more destructive to this once great nation.

How Many ?

Some people carry concealed guns, like me.  Some carry openly.  Some carry a reload or two.
Then there's Josie Wells, who carries four handguns, openly.

Josie learned to shoot with only one hand, right or left.  It was a good idea for him, and I think it's a good idea for anyone who carries for self-defense.  I practice with my weak hand, but it still remains my weak hand.  Hope I never need to use it in a defensive situation.

Personal Choices

The choice of a firearm is as personal as socks and underware.  This guy has listed his top 5.  I agree with the Kahr PM9.  I carry one frequently, but my favorite is a Kimber 3 inch 1911 mostly because it a larger caliber and easier to shoot than any of the newer designs..

His top choices don't seem to include any of the old classics.  He must be younger than I am.

More Evidenc - Corupt and Inept

Holder has been stonewalling the congressional committee for months, refusing to surrender documents and making statements that were later proven to be untrue.  Threatened with contempt charges he gets help from Obama who declares executive privaledge. For what reason?  Obama says he didn't know anything about fast & furious, so what is he and Holder hiding? 

It becomes more and more obvious that this administration is corrupt, and so inept that they can't handle their jobs or keep their corruption under wraps.  And these are our leaders?  Man are we screwed!

Continue Cleaning the Poop

Via e-mail came this gem by Maxine.

I bought a bird feeder. I hung
It on my back porch and filled
It with seed. What a beauty of
A bird feeder it was, as I filled it Lovingly with seed.

Within a week we had hundreds of birds
Taking advantage of the
Continuous flow of free and
Easily accessible food.
But then the birds started
Building nests in the boards
Of the patio, above the table,
And next to the barbecue.
Then came the poop. It was
Everywhere: on the patio tile,
The chairs, the table ..
Everywhere!

Then some of the birds
Turned mean. They would
Dive bomb me and try to
Peck me even though I had
Fed them out of my own
Pocket.

And others birds were
Boisterous and loud. They
Sat on the feeder and
Squawked and screamed at
All hours of the day and night
And demanded that I fill it
When it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn't even
Sit on my own back porch
Anymore. So I took down the
Bird feeder and in three days
The birds were gone. I cleaned
Up their mess and took down
The many nests they had built
All over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like
It used to be ..... Quiet, serene....
And no one demanding their
Rights to a free meal.

Now let's see.
Our government gives out
Free food, subsidized housing,
Free medical care and free
Education, and allows anyone
Born here to be an automatic
Citizen.

Then the illegal's came by the
Tens of thousands. Suddenly
Our taxes went up to pay for
Free services; small apartments
Are housing 5 families; you
Have to wait 6 hours to be seen
By an emergency room doctor;
Your child's second grade class is
Behind other schools because
Over half the class doesn't speak
English.

Corn Flakes now come in a
Bilingual box; I have to
'press one ' to hear my bank
Talk to me in English, and
People waving flags other
Than 'Old Glory' are
Squawking and screaming
In the streets, demanding
More rights and free liberties.

Just my opinion, but maybe
it's time for the government
To take down the bird feeder.

Just continue cleaning up the poop!

It's Obvious

to anyone actually paying attention, that the Obama administration is the most inept and the most corrupt in my lifetime.  And it seems that most people haven't a clue.  Why else would nearly half the population still support that clown.
