The UN Stinks

For decades I thought the UN was a pox on the good old USA.  It seems that most members are governments that have little or no respect for their own people, even more so than here.  So when most were against recognizing Jerusalem as the capital I was not surprised.  As far as I'm concerned, the UN is a huge waste of US tax dollars.  Wouldn't hurt my feelings if the whole bunch was kicked out of the country.

On another subject, I took ammo inventory today.  Seems I'm below the Boss mandated minimum of 1,000 rounds for the CETME.  Time to pick up a few hundred rounds of 7.62 x 51.

Early Christmas Gathering

Had a small early Christmas with our adopted family Sunday.  Received a couple of T-shirts that I like.  The first says YOUR OPINION MATTERS . . . JUST NOT TO ME.  The second says I DON'T GIVE A then there's a graphic of a rat leading a donkey on a rope.

The other great gift was a string tied to about a dozen little bottles of booze.

Range Day

At least after spending time at the stables.

 Also renewed my range membership.

Brought the AR15, Ishapore and a 45 auto. 

The Ishapore had the scope mount repaired recently so readjustments were necessary, but only vertical.  Noticed that the bolt was a little sticky.  I don't think the lubricant liked the cold temperature very much.

Shot the AR at 100 and 200 yards with mixed success.  The guy next to me was impressed considering I was standing without a support and no magnified optics.  To me it was just average.

Never touched the 45.  Not enough time.

It did take care of my itchy trigger finger.
