They Don't Trust Me

After that school in Texas said that teachers and staff could carry concealed in school if they had a cary license I thought great, somebody has some sense after all. And now the expected nay-sayers are crawling out of the woodwork. You can see some examples here and here.

And don't try to tell me that keeping legal guns out has anything to do about children safety. It's been proven that those laws have caused the death of more children than before those laws were so popular. It's about trust.

They don't trust themselves and therefore don't trust lawful citizens like me. They trust in luck that a mutant won't walk right in and kill their children. They trust in luck that the police will arrive just in time to save their child, even though someone elses child or children would've already died. The fact is . . . . they just don't trust me, despit the fact that I carry a gun around children . . . all . . . the . . . time.
