New Grips

Several years ago I found a good deal on a Kimber Ultracarry.  I dropped in a short trigger and installed the first slim grips I ran across.  Unfortunately the grips are smooth.  I now want grips with a little bite.  The Boss thinks these will look good on it.  What do you think?

The Never Ending Sale

Our old house has been for sale for about 2-1/2 years and empty for 2 years.  In that time we've had just 1 interested party.  So we accepted their offer at about $20K less than we paid for it, not counting the added 3 car garage and updates.  All is good right?  Wrong.

The original sale contract has now been extended for the third time.  This time another month.  The latest is failure to pass the loan appraisal.  It seems that the guidelines defining an in-law suite has changed.  Apparently having a kitchen disqualifies the attached apartment as an in-law suite, though that's what it was built for and used for, for decades.  The buyer is going to try another potential lender.

Pants on Fire

Time and time again the anti-gunners have claimed that Obama has made no effort to restrict our rights.  They're either very mistaken or liars like he is.

What Sign?

This guy has his reasons for ignoring the No Guns signs.  Over the years I've also learned to ignore the signs.  Even a gun that's not well hidden is either not noticed or simply ignored. Where I live the worse that can happen is a minor trespassing charge if I refuse to leave when asked.

Just Stop Digging.

I just read that the Fed has been receiving record breaking revenues.  But they're spending more than received.  What is said about being in a hole, the first thing is to stop digging.  Like that's ever going to happen.

There would probably be a surplus if they'd stop screwing up the economy.  A healthy economy will have more working and fewer on programs like Medicaid.

At The Bottom

I've had a mistrust of government, any government, for most of my life.  What little trust I had started on a steep slide in Sept. 2001.  The downward slope has been increasing ever since.  Trust may have hit bottom.

At this point I wonder if there is any Fed division that is not corrupt.  The ATF, BLM, IRS and the VA have all surfaced like floating turds.  And that's just recently.

It's time.  Fire the Fed Gov.

Description of The Majority

This is so good that I just couldn't resist.

“If you love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom – go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.” ~ Samuel Adams, August, 1776
Let me rephrase this quote for modern times:
"If you love sucking on the government teat better than liberty, the easy life of being a sheeple better than fighting against the nanny state- go back to your section 8 housing and EBT card. We don't need your advice or help and you are likely unarmed and useless anyway. May the feel of a TSA agent fondling your testicles be comforting to you, and don't ever admit to being a citizen of the same country as Samuel Adams.

Random Thoughts

Too much work, not enough personal time.  So many hot projects at work that I've been turning wrenches, helping to install upgrades that I designed.  A bit rough for an old, out of shape desk jockey.
Damn I'm tired.

Always knew in my gut they lied about Benghazi.  Now there's proof.
Crucify the bastards.

The Bosses spinal stimulator surgery went well, and it works.  No more nerve pain, just post-surgical pain.  The 20 staples are to be removed in 4 days.  My sister is staying with us for another week to help look after the Boss, and relieve some of the burden from my shoulders.

Looks like the old house finally sold after 2-1/2 years.  Losing money on it, but not much choice.  Inspections were scheduled for today.  I'm guessing another 3 weeks to closing.

Can't take any vacation longer than a couple of days because of my father-in-law.  He's living with us and is 93.  His physical and mental capacity is such that we're afraid to leave him alone any longer.  He falls frequently and at times doesn't have the sense to not touch a hot pan on the stove.

It's been months since I fired a gun.  I'm tempted to spend a vacation day at the range.  I could use the practice and the stress relief.
