Just Gotta Do It

There's no doubt we The People have made great strides in the last decades to regain our legislative right to self-defense and gun ownership. I say legislative becaus regardless of 'law' a right can't be taken away, only surrendered. I for one never surrendered my right and carried a gun whenever I felt it prudent, regardless of the law.

The reversal of gun laws towards freedom and liberty was hard fought, and continues today. We will always need to fight for liberty because there's always those that would rob us of that precious commodity.

As much as I enjoyed the recent trip to Germany and Poland, and not so recent trip to Austria, I wouldn't want to live in any of those countries. The people may be free but they have no liberty, and I can't stomach socialism.

As Kim says;

Now expand the gun control battle to other areas: taxes, public schooling, overbearing regulation, illegal immigration, and all the other ways that the socialists would seek to control Us, The People.

It means fighting these bastards every single time they try to encroach on our freedoms, fighting these bastards every time they try to take away one of our cherished rights, fighting these bastards every time they want to take away our money and give it away to someone else, and fighting these bastards every time they try to tell us that they, and not we, know what’s best for ourselves, our families, our communities, our states, and our nation.

If we want to stop the spread of socialism, we need to fight every social issue with the same passion that we’ve used to fight gun control. Gun control has become a non-issue (in our favor) because we have never let the gun-controllers get the other hand, even during the Dark Days of the Clinton Administration, . . .

So if the only hand we have is the McCain one, we have to play it.

So I'll hold my nose, and vote for McCain.
