Gout

Well the good news is I have gout so there's no immediate surgery. The bad news is I have gout. The prognosis is gout attacks for the rest of my life since there's apparently no real cure. It can be controlled to a degree by diet and if it worsens by medication. Control is decreasing the frequency of attacks, but future attacks will come.

Wonderful. At least it's not life threatening.
